the clock. The hotel is very centrally located but in a quiet and sunny setting overlooking the lake and the beautiful mountains of the Engadine. The shopping area of St. Moritz starts right at the back of the hotel. International shops and boutiques, world-renowned names. It is only a 4-minute walk to the mountain railway leading to the skiing and hiking area of St. Moritz-Corviglia. Sportbus stop (winter) in front of the Hotel. The bus brings guests to the cross country centre of St. Moritz and to the ski areas of Corvatsch (25 minutes) and Diavolezza (30 minutes). The Kulm, the cradle of winter sports, offers plenty of sport and recreation options, ranging from its panoramic indoor pool, a Health Club & Spa (with whirlpool, sauna, caldarium, salt water grotto, steambath and a large fitness room, massage, hydrojet underwater massage, Thalasso and Carita beauty treatments) to the Engadine's ski runs and cross-country ski tracks. Besides romantic walks the hotel grounds offer a curling centre and ice rink plus the Bob and Cresta Runs. | Babysitter The concierge would be delighted to organise a babysitter for your children. Bridge Our bridge hostess gives lessons and arranges for partners. Daily from 3 p.m. onwards. (during high season) Concierge Our concierge is at your disposal for any information you may need. He will advise you on excursions, arrange for taxis and rental cars, for transfers to the train station and airport, for railway and airline ticket reservations, for sleigh rides as well as ski lift tickets and private ski instructors. Departure Please confirm your intended departure with Reception 3 days (at least 48 hours ) in advance. Your room should be vacated by noon on the day of your departure. Thank you. Dogs Dogs are accepted in the Hotel at an extra charge. However, they may not be taken into the restaurants, bars, indoor swimming pool and health club or to the public rooms. Dress code We would ask our guests not to wear sports clothing in any of the public rooms after 8 p.m. Evening dress and dinner jackets are considered proper attire, adding much to the atmosphere. We require jacket and tie in the main restaurant and the Rôtisserie des Chevaliers. For candlelight dinners and other special occasions, gentlemen are expected to wear black tie or a dark suit. For casual dining we recommend our Italian restaurant "The Pizzeria", or the Chesa al Parc. All rooms have the possibility to connect to e-mail or fax machine. Garage Our underground garage can be reached from the Hotel. The concierge will valet park your car. Daily charge SFr. 17.- (winter) SFr. 11.- (summer). Hairdresser - Barber There is a ladies hairdresser and a barber shop in the hotel, off the main corridor. Open from 9.00 a.m. till noon and from 3.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. Health club and Spa Our state-of-the-art health club is located just next to the swimming pool. Our health club features massage, hydrojet underwater massage, Thalasso and Carita beauty treatments. Internet A PC with Internet access is at guests' disposal - lower lobby next to the reception. Ice skating Our private ice skating rink is located at the "Chesa al Parc" / Kulm Park entrance (Curling Center). Kulm Hotel guests are admitted free of charge upon presentation of the guest card. You may rent skates there or take skating lessons from our skating instructor (beginners and advanced skaters welcome). Information: Concierge or "Chesa al Parc". Laundry - Pressing - Dry-cleaning Great care is taken by our in house laundry service to handle our guests laundry efficiently. Regular service: Laundry received by 9.00 a.m. by the chambermaid will be returned after 6.00 p.m. the next day. Express service: Laundry received by 9.00 a.m. by the chambermaid will be returned the same day (after 6.00 p.m.) for an additional charge of 50 %. Sundays: pressing only. Dry-cleaning is not done at the hotel and may therefore take longer than the above services. Maid service Twice-daily maid service is rendered. If you have any special requirements, please contact the housekeeper. Mail - Telegrams - Messages Incoming and outgoing mail and messages may be picked up and deposited at the concierge desk. Medical care The house doctor is on call 24 hours a day. In an emergency, please contact the concierge. Panorama Pool Open from 7.30 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. The indoor swimming pool with whirlpool, sauna, caldarium, salt water grotto, steambath and a large fitness room are free of charge to our guests. Towels are also available free of charge from the pool attendant. Changing cabins and lockers are available. Bathrobes are at your disposal in your bathroom. Playroom - Kindergarten A playroom for children and adults - with table-tennis, table soccer, pinball, video games etc. - is located on the ground floor of the New Kulm wing. There is a separate room with toys and games for small children where, during the high season, they are supervised by a children's nurse - who also arranges for children to have meals together. Open daily from 9 a.m. to noon and 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Safe deposit boxes Most rooms have their individual safe, with limited insurance coverage. A big walk-in safe installation with large boxes is located near the reception desk. Sports information The St. Moritz ski and cross-country ski school offices are open as follows: Ski school: from 8.00 a.m. to noon and from 2.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. Cross-country ski school: from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. The Cresta Club secretary's office is located in the hotel. Curling Club: Office in the "Chesa al Parc". Our concierge will gladly give you any information required concerning ski instruction, ski and cross-country ski runs.
