The Hotel lies on the right hand shore of Lake Lucerne, close to the centre of the city of Lucerne, offering wonderful views across the bay towards the world-famous Mt. Pilatus; a privileged location which has played a significant role in the celebrated history of this exclusive hotel. Opened in 1870 and built in the style of a French Renaissance chateau, the hotel created a revolutionary stir through being larger and more magnificent than any other previously built.

The east wing houses a total of 95 bedrooms and suites providing approximately 165 beds, all with traditional hotel service. The original 19th century ambiance is carefully and lovingly combined throughout the whole establishment with the most modern of technology such as Keycard locks, the latest in telecommunications, mini-bars, room safes etc..

The restaurant "Le Trianon", which specialises in French cuisine, has been renovated in a classic style and provides the perfect ambiance for your meal. The diverse and seasonal menu offers the finest culinary delicacies, from simple one-course meals to exquisite gourmet experiences. During the summer months, meals can also be taken out in the sun on our attractive terrace, with the magnificent view across Lake Lucerne to the mountains beyond providing the perfect setting for your meal.
